Blue Ridge Lyme Link was born out of the passion of its founder, Maria Circosta MSN FNP-C, and the need for comprehensive, compassionate care to patients who have, or suspect they have, tick-borne disease. As tick bites often go untreated or under-treated, they can create multiple chronic symptoms that are frequently unaddressed in the primary care setting. Blue Ridge Lyme Link is here to fill the gap, offering telehealth services to patients across the state of Virginia.
Maria Circosta MSN FNP-C is a family nurse practitioner that has been practicing primary care in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. She began pursuing her education as an NP at the urging of her physician, who first diagnosed Maria with several tick borne infections. She has served on the 2023 Virginia Department of health tick-borne illness work group, which was tasked with creating recommendations to reduce the burden of tick-borne illness in the state. She has lectured at the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners annual conference on the subject of tick borne disease diagnosis and treatment. Maria continues to expand her knowledge with training as a member of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS). Her goal is to provide compassionate care as she helps her patients find greater wellness.
